An Extra Measure of Protection ~ Self Defense Courses, Pepper Spray, and Tasers ~ It's what's now necessary for women to stay safe!!

It's certainly a different topic from my normal discussion, but it has to be talked about. As most of you may well know, a young woman by the name of Briana Dennison was recently killed by a serial rapist in Reno, NV. This hit home with me, as I've spent a great deal of my life growing up in that area. And to even make matters worse, my brother and his fiance live within a couple minutes of where Brianna was found. This was now a startling revelation, another truth we have to realise in personal safety.

It's true what fate brings, when 9/11 etched it's mark in the history books, it changed a lot of what we origially took for granted before that event happend. No longer can we see our loved ones off at the airport gate, staring out the large double paned window and see him/her take off. Nor could we no longer feel comfortable being on an aiplane much less. The recent news of a young lady has alerted everybody to defend against unsavory folks.

As you read this, various outlets in Reno, Sparks, and Carson City have since sold out of Pepper Spray, tasers, and other such devices to help defend against an unwanted predator. Has this event reached out to other locations of the United States and other countries? What precautions have your family since taken to make sure you feel safe, especially when you work late and you have to make that walk to your car? I can attest to say that my brother's fiance has bought several self defense devices. Something that she never thought she would have to do, but did because now it's a necessary task. Any comments are surely appreciated, thanks for your time.
